zzp pcm or wbody store?

Well since my so called friend is being a d bag to the highest leve. I am looking for the best option to get my car running better so I can sell it. Its an 04gtp comp g. Here is my list of mods. Bumped compression to 9.5 to 1 had to over bore about .10, zzp vs cam, speed daddy headers, 3.4 pulley, 3/4inch spacer under the super charger, water meth injection, cai, 180 thermostat, egr delete, rear o2 delete, removed balance shaft from inside of motor, 255 walbro fuel pump with hot wire kit. I know there are probably a million posts about this, but I want the most up to date advice from you guys. As always thanks for any and all info! :th_thumbsup-wink:

weird mods... IMO The ZZP pcm is a good PCM for a canned tune. A lot around here will disagree with me, but I dont really care. The BEST option however would be a dyno tune and then a street tune. All cars are different and yours is really different so I wouldnt recommend getting a canned tune.

I would email ZZP your exact mod setup before buying their pcm file though, so they can customise it properly.

Just wondering what the weird parts are lol. This was my first gtp modded car. And I got most of my advice from the d bag that wont help tune it. He is also a ford gt guy that is used to 1500rwhp from his car and his customers though.

ZZPs tune is OK at best. Lots of people report still having KR issues afterward. But with that being said you have to remember that it is a generalized tune not custom for your car. Most/all canned tunes run rich. If I were in your shoes I would try to find another local person to do a tune. That's just me though. A ZZP one will get you by, just make sure to watch KR

Weirdish mods:
-Bumped compression to 9.5 to 1 had to over bore about .10
-3/4inch spacer under the super charger
-removed balance shaft from inside of motor

IIRC 9.5:1 is the L36/26 compression.
And I have heard of guys taking the balancer shaft out from time to time(something about big cam or rev limits or some jazz like that).
The spacer under the blower is a new one. My guess is it is either an IC core or some spacer rigged to spray the meth so it don't go through the rotors?

Both ZZP and WBS tunes are nearly identical. I would go with whatever is cheaper.

Your fuel injectors are more than likely beyond maxed out, unless you switched to a return-style fuel system when you did the pump. If not, I would get new injectors as well when you order the tune.

I had to over bore because I chipped on of the stock pistons and it left a line in the cylinder. The guy that built my motor was going to build one for himself and had the diamond pistons so I bought what he had. I didn't want to put such a small pulley on it and make that much more heat. The spacer was for the water meth, but I couldn't get a good enough spray through it so I went through the screws instead. I took the balance shaft out because its just un-needed rotating mass and I cant feel any difference. I do have bigger injectors to put in when I figure out what I am going to do with a tune. I was going to switch to e85, but since I am going to sell it I am just going to get it running right and not so rich unless I change my mind lol. Thanks for all the advice guys! Ever since I had my 2000 gt this site has been a great help and learning tool.

I think I am leaning more towards the wbs for a store bought tune. If had troubles with zzp in the past, but I just wanted some feedback first
