Im basically asking who makes them and where I can get one NOT from ZZP since I know they can be had cheaper.

Link me!

I have the ZZP one and damn does it make a difference, the needle goes no where... *edit* after it gets to temp of course lol

Ok, so which PN is it? I see several different numbers in the post, what is it? I need to do this mod next. I figured if I couldn't find the proper rad, i'd just buy one from WBS...

The one PRJ posted... if you buy that one you'll get 1" CORE, a couple people had that happen on CGP...

Hey Vinnie,

Have you gotten this radiator recently? The price is great, and I want one, I just don't want to end up like many and get a 1" rad. Will this bolt up to a 1999? Or do I need the adapters?

Thanks

Just go to any parts store and ask for a radiator for a '98 Monte w/ 3.8. It's 1 3/8" thick and it's what I'm running. With my discount at AutoZone, I picked mine up for $200 otd and a lifetime warranty. Plus, they stock it in the store.

FWIW, my car never goes above 190* on the temp gauge, it's amazing at keeping the engine running cool.

For real? I wonder why no one had this info before? What year Grand Prix do you drive (assuming its GP)? I will definatly look into that info! Bolt in with no mods? Tranny lines fit? Cool level sensor fit? Thanks!

'00 GP SE (L67/HD swap). The tranny lines were fine, I think I just had to swap over the quick connect fittings from the stock 5/8" radiator. The radiator fan bracket works with minor bending. The radiator brackets work fine, since the endcaps are the same size. The coolant sensor gets mounted on the side instead of the front, and the lower radiator hose points slightly inward. None of those were issues though. Pics for those curious.

Interesting, That crooked lower radiator hose neck on the bottom, does that interfer with the A/C compressor at all? Also that fill neck appears to be taller than the stock radiator, any hood interferance? Mount up like stock? Got pics of it installed?

Thanks!

I don't have any install pics, but nothing interferes. This is the exact radiator that WBS sells (look at the pics on their site) and I think it's the same for ZZP as well.

The only issue is restricted access to the coolant level sensor since it's back in a hole now and the battery is slightly more difficult to remove thanks to the neck projecting more inward.

Well, the car never goes over 190* (and actually has never hit it). The downside is in the winter it takes longer to heat up. I've driven the 10miles from work to home late at night in the winter and it's not hot enough to leave my fans running when I turn the car off.

Very efficient compared to my stock 5/8" core.
