ZZP Exhaust hitting underside of 01 GT

So I have the 2.5" aluminized exhaust from zzp, have had it for about 2 year now, and I always kinda heard this rattling from under the car and I'm 99% sure its the exhaust hitting the underside, the exhaust was close to hitting the underside when i installed it. I never did anything about it because it didnt happen very often, but now the exhaust is starting to rust(I know Im stupid for letting it go on this long) where it takes the last 90 degree bend right underneath the rear passenger seat. So my question to you guys is, have any of you had issues with ZZP exhaust hitting the underside of your car, and if so, how can I fix it? I know all the the mount points are connected, but it just seems like the exhaust is too heavy for those rubber rings to hold steady.

you got the two round ones near the cat, then two different style hangers that hold the back pipe up, one near the front of the rear pass tire, one under the rear sub frame, then two on each muffler at the bumper hangers.

You should have this style

And this style

Scott is talking about the second picture.

I had an exhaust shop add a couple extra hangers in the back to help with the weight.

Rattling might just be a loose heat shield under the car, my wife's 06 had a terrible because of a loose heat shield under the gas tank area, put a push pin back in and all was quiet.

Exhaust hitting would be more of a thud and would likely be accompanied by some vibrations, I know from experience.

It does seem to be a hard thud on the underside. Ill be ordering new rings for the whole thing and If those arent tight enough I'll try the metal clamps. Thanks for the help guys!

So I jacked my car up today to look if any hangers are loose and I think i understand the problem. It's not that the hangers are loose, its that the zpp exhaust bend was **** and I have too much room on one side of the exhaust channel, and its almost hitting on the other side. And when i shake the exhaust I can hear it hitting the side of the car because its 1" from the side. Here are some pics. Could I put something like Dynamat on that side of the exhaust channel? Or what do you guys think I should do.

i would take that band clamp off and make sure the pipe is together the whole way. you may be able to cut the pipe some at that band clamp too if its tight already.
