From what i have seen you post threads about natural resources,economy etc etc.I think you would like to see what they have to say Synth.My jaw was on the ground after watching them.The first zeitgeist is about religion,9/11 conspiracy and our monetary system.Whereas the the 2nd one Zeitgeist:Addendum is more about the sides of the worlds monetary system and all of the natural resources we have that the fed gov refuses to look into.Such as geothermal,wind,undercurrents in the ocean and also energy from waves in the ocean just to name a few.I dont know if you have heard of "The Venus Project",but it talks alot about that too.To say the least i found both very interesting.They give alot of insight on Halliburton and other major key players of that nature.

Well Ive never been much of a conspiracy theorist. I dont believe that the government is flying around in little black helicopters subverting my attempts to be successful in life or impregnate me with little green men from mars. Not saying you do, just stating my position.
Secondly, you have to be careful with such things, in my opinion, as they take things WAY out of context.
For instance, though we celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th, that is not when He was born. The last time I studied this particular subject I believe the general consensus was that He was born between March and April. This is ascertained from various historic documents that pinpoint such things as King Herods death. Yet the Zeitgeist Documentaries would have you believe that December 25th is indeed the factual birth date which is far from the case.
Next, we all tell the story of the 'Three Kings', but the bible does not specify the number of people that brought gifts. Yet it has been told for so long no one questions it or takes it upon themselves to actually study what is written. Now its been sometime since I actually studied this particular subject in the bible myself so dont lambaste me if Im a little off, I just remember it does not state three and my bible is out in the truck right now so Im not able to go back to my notes and quote the passages.
So its things like that that ward me off from such films. See, you're going to get me to preaching and this is going to turn into a book, LOL. I bet you didnt know I used to teach in church? Im not talking about a classroom either, I mean from the pulpit.
I just stay away from such things, I'll read about them, try and get an idea what they are about and what their position is and so on, maybe even watch a few exerpts to see what it is they are trying to say, but for the most part I stay away from that kind of stuff because its rarely based on much factual information.
Oh, and thank you for noticing the various subjects I post about. I try my best to be fully informed and post good stuff, but I as I have mentioned before I was taught to state your position, study the facts and show that you have an understanding of a particular subject and the information and facts to back up your stand and that often takes a lot of typing to do and in todays society of the 5 second attention span, that doesnt always go over well.

I see where your coming from,i just had 2 paragraphs written out and decided not to post it.There are alot of touchy subjects in these 2 documentaries that im going to leave alone,well at least on GPF.Everyone is going to have their own opinions and if they have seen the doc's or if they choose too they can draw their own conclusions.Anyways my OP was just to see if anyone else had seen them and if they thought it was total B.S. or if the documentary had any significant meaning.Oh and by the way preach on brother man.I enjoy reading your posts,some of them have gotten me in deep thought.I like to think,so thanks for your input on basically everything you write about.

Dont let me hinder you from posting up what you want to post. As long as its respectful and not inflamatory, dont let me stand in your way. I read posts on here all the time that get me to re-evaluate my positions as well and I enjoy that.
I hold to Abraham Lincoln's philosophy in which he stated I will hold to one postion until someone shows me the value in another. Im open minded to the point that, I am willing to say that in the light of new information I have not considered, that perhaps my position is wrong. With my faith, thats not the case and the one subject that I will defend but its not a touchy subject to me, I believe what I believe. I dont believe in ramming it down anyone elses throat either. I'll do my preaching through example as that will speak louder than any sermon or debate that I can give. But dont let that prevent you from posting up your view.
I may not agree with it and there's always the chance I'll post up my counter view, but I wont attack anyone because of that, its not only ridiculous to do but its also counter productive.
Ive seen enough, studied enough to convince me to come from the 'other side' as it were. I was very much anti-church, anti-religion, anti-christian for many years of my life. There was a point in my life, in fact, that I worked with a guy who was very much a devout Christian, that I tried everyway under the sun to get fired. But there came a point that when I sat down and considered the arguements, and did my own studying that I concluded my stand was far from the correct one.
But thats my decision, my conclusions and so on. I cant force anyone else to give in to my reasonings. All I can do is present my case not only in a written form such as this but also present my case in the way I live my life. My life, ultimately, was not changed by an argument or factual evidence, it was changed in that manner, by the life of another that talked the talk but also very much and perhaps more so walked the walk.

Im not sure if you saw the link i edited into my last post.This last reply that you wrote was the last post,posted as soon as i edited the link into my last post.Thats a tongue twister lol.Anyways i would love to hear your input on that 15 minute video.I added a note under it stating that it is not zeitgeist related.The video kind of scares me to be totally honest.Thanks for teh go ahead to post what i want to post.I try my best not to ever be disrespectful or inflammatory on here and in life.So look forward to hearing my opinions on any feedback to this post.

I did know the federal bank was no more federal than Federal Express as the guy in the film put it.
As for the taxes, I dont have specific facts, but I believe the constitution only mentions no taxation without representation. If that is so then there is a great number of taxes that are in violation but not all. I have also stated before and will do so again, I do not believe that basic necessities such as food and clothing should be taxed as it is in some states such as Oklahoma.
The amount of tax we pay is a lot more than just what we pay to the IRS every year in the way of payroll tax deductions. You get taxed BEFORE you even get paid, then you go and buy food and are taxed in some states, buy clothes and are taxed again in some states, you go and buy gas to go to work and are taxed, and the list goes on and on. This is the major difference between a corporation and an individual. A individual pays taxes and THEN has to pay expenses with what is left over. A corporation pays expenses THEN pays taxes on what is left over.
There is a great deal that goes on that we probably have no clue about because the majority of Americans want to be led, want to be told what to do, how to do it, when to do it. Anyone that does not is labeled as anti-socialist, rebellious, criminal and so on.
So in my opinion, a lot of what has happened WE allowed to happen and should not be pointing the finger so much at the government as much as we should ourselves for allowing it to happen. We have to first be honest with ourselves and admit we have let things get out of control. We then must be willing to say we need to take action and then take it. Furthermore, take it and continue to take it until the results we want are realized, not until some action is taken that placates us, take the action until we have exactly the results we want.
It is our responsibility to take not the governments. But far too many people take the attitude that if it doesnt affect them directly and personally, its not important and thats the way such things sneak in. The thought "Why should I do anything if it doesnt cost me anything or affect me directly" is exactly how precedents are set that can be built upon, brick by brick. You dont just plop down a hose on plot of land, you do a little surveying, you dig a little, you pour the foundation, put in the plumbing, electrical and build little by little and thats exactly how the government gets away with many things the general public may not allow if put to a democratic vote. Set the precedence and build upon it until the house is complete. Its a process over time, not a one time event. Once the house is complete you can point back to it to anyone that comes afterwards and say thats ALWAYS been there, i.e, ALWAYS been like that. And to those that just accept to be led in that manner and not do their own research, it will seem that way and will be accepted that way until they take it upon themselves to learn otherwise.

Well put! The sad thing is it will never change,IMO it will only get worse.The rich will always be richer and the poor will get poorer.Alot of americans are blinded by the media,drugs and alchohol,worldly possesions,etc,etc to even begin to care about whats going on internally in our government system.Along the lines of what you said "Why should I do anything if it doesnt cost me anything or affect me directly" but in reality it affects every american citizen and definitely costs them as well.They just dont see it.I honestly do not believe our taxes go to the purposes that they are supposed to be going to.Do i know where its going?No,but i know what it could be used for.To better our country.Education,healthcare,other forms of medical research etc etc.I dont have answers to everything,but it scares me seeing how things are now in America having 2 young children.Whats it going to be like when they are my age?I can almost gaurantee its not going to be good.Whats the deal with this RFID chip?Is that something you would want implanted in your body with every bit of personal information stored on that chip?All your money you make being placed on a chip.Do you think its right for the gov to be able to trace every move you make and if you dont comply with new and prexisting laws in the future that your chip can be shut off and be left with nothing?We as people need to wake up and see whats going on in our backyards and attempt to make changes before its too late.Instead of being caught up in things that are making the people blind to the facts.Worried about what your neighbor has and you dont,whos going to be the next american idol,whos got this and that and competing against each other.My friend none of that is going to matter when we all slowly conform into what the government has in store for us.Some may read what im writing and think to themselves this guy is crazy.Just continue doing what you have been doing in the past,let the next generation follow in your steps.If we live long enough to see how it will eventually be,were going to be sorry we didnt step up when we had the chance if its not already too late.

There seems to be one question that nearly everyone fails to ask when the local, state or federal government says they need more money; What have you done with the money you have been getting?
If we required of any agency, wanting more of our tax dollars or just more tax dollars, a full accountability of what has been done with what they have already gotten, our eyes would be opened and Im pretty sure we would never approve of another tax increase of any kind. It has been historically proven that once they get the increase they rarely if ever reduce it once they accomplished what they set out to do.
For example, Ive been in Oklahoma now for nearly 15 years. Shortly after I moved here there was a proposal to increase the sales tax just a half a penny. This half penny was to build a Whirlpool plant in Tulsa to get that business here, the incentive we build your plant for you and you move here and provide jobs. Logic would reason that once that is built then the half penny tax would be eliminated. Well, guess what? All this time later, the plant long ago built and that half penny tax is still there.
They get addicted to our money and we keep feeding it to them like some billion dollar a day cocaine habit.
Another good example is the lotteries. They got the lottery here not too terribly long ago on the premise, as they have in many states, that it would go towards funding education. Millions if not billions of dollars spent on lotteries here and guess what, it was last year I believe they said they needed more money for education, but no one asks "Wheres all that money from property taxes and the lottery?". We simply argue that that is money well spent so lets approve the tax increase. Absolutely no accountability for what they already have.
Ive said it before and I'll say it again. When I have a budget shortfall I cant go into my boss's office and demand a pay raise to cover my fiscal irresponsibility. No, I have to cut back on necessary things or do without. But we allow the government to do just that, demand more money without showing any accountability. And then in the rare instance we do resist, they come up with all these scare tactics. And now, not only do we have the government doing it, we got businesses like the financial industry and auto industry doing it. You dont want to give us some money to carry on, fine! There will be widespread layoffs, economic disaster, etc. Like spoiled little children that did not get their way. Unfortunately, we continue to feed that behavior and reinforce it.

Damn you're good with words.Its been a long day and im lost for words at this time.Basically,its going to keep getting worse.I strongly believe that it doesnt matter who we vote for to put in office of different branches of the government.Its all about money and it will always be about money.Worthless pieces of paper to say the least.But that worthless paper controls everything.There will always be some lower to middle class family hung out to dry when "the music for the musical chair game stops" There is always going to be more debt than there is actual money.It goes beyond the government.Halliburton,federal reserve and all these multi billion to multi trillion dollar companies will always have the upper hand.In my eyes its up to our government to stop these "bullies" and they wont cuz they are all tied in together.Screwing us as ppl and we just sit back and nod our heads yes,so the cycle continues.Is there any way to stop it?Doubtful!As far as the lottery goes S.C. started the "education" lottery several years back.S.C. still has some of the lowest test scores in the nation.They throw just enuff money into education to keep ppl smiling and to keep ppl buying lottery tickets,because hey its funding education so they say.the school here are over run with gangs,violent crimes,drugs etc.The teachers dont get paid what they deserve and there is nowhere enuff police and other programs to keep kids out of the so called "dirt".You would think bringing in multi-billions of dollars in the "education lottery" that test scores would slightly rise if not dramatically rise.Ill tell you where the money goes,into the pockets of the ppl that keep it going and to the government for them to use in whatever way they want.I recently replaced a windshield for one of the SECRETARIES of the lottery office.She was driving a brand new BMW 740 0r 745 i cant remember.So they will continue to blind the public with 100 new school busses here,couple thousand computers there and minor pay raises to teachers and school officials.While we smile and keep funding the employees who dont have a clue about the education system to drive brand new BMW's or whatever else luxury items they want.While the teacher if the year gets to drive his/her 1997 honda accord to work.It sucks and it sucks big time....But hey,THATS THE WAY IT IS!

I had an English teacher in high school that sent me home with a deficiency notice for having a 97 average. Her reasoning was that I was slacking off and my parents took as seriously as as if it had been an F. The philosophy she drilled in me was that you can have the best and brightest ideas in the universe and they are worthless if you cannot express them accurately and definitively through verbal and written communication.
Sometimes I wanted to strangle her she pushed me so hard and expected seemingly impossible levels of achievement. But she was extremely fair, honest and forthright and the most insightful person I have ever met to peoples personalities and the differences in the way one learns from one person to the next.
I so respect her and wish more teachers were like her and were paid accordingly.

Actually, we celebrate Christmas on December 25th because of the Pagan holiday Yule. Way back in the day Christians wanted to "out-do" the Pagans on their own holiday and decided to celebrate the birth of Christ on the Pagans' Yule. Though, we got our traditions of Christmas trees and lights from the Pagans' own celebrations and traditions.
