alright. im gonna be puttin my xp cam in a month or 2 and im seeing mixed things on either 105s or 130s. i emailed paul at prj since he will be the one tuning it and he said 130s with a double roller is recommended because he see's alot of cars with valve float issues. I just dont understand then why most people only run 105s and are fine. im just torn on which route to go.

It could.

Personally I never brought mine up that high. 105's with an S1X/XP cam is fine until you wanna turn 800 horses in near zero gravity.

heck..even when I did a ton of lift, heads and 130's, I didn't go over 6000 shift points. Our engines have enough oiling issues that I didn't want to risk the bearings not having enough oil. Kept the shifts reasonable, had more than enough power to pick on Vettes, Cobras etc (not the newest..but close) and only trans issues fo rme.

thats what i was gonna tell him. to just keep the shifts around 6k and id just run 105s. im not really worried about the 2 hundred extra rpm lol. its my dd so id like it to not have any issues or break

I use pbm 110# springs, modded retainers, and a stock timing set. No problems whatsoever. I'd rather change the worn dampner every 20,000 miles than change broken double rollers

with proper install, how many double rollers have really broken? the key statement here is proper install.
