XM Radio issues

Is it a known problem with the XM radio to cut in and out? Sunroof open and the audio signal dies then a few seconds later comes back. I'm not sure if closing the sunroof makes it work better as I liked to cruise with it open and the radio on at the same time. Fixing this is not very important as I'm not subscribing to the service anymore.
 


yeah the sunroof blocks the xm antenna on 04 when open.. I believe they changed it though on the newer years using a combination xm/on star antenna in front of the sunroof. Someone here might know a specific year when they changed it

my antenna is at the back of the roof, looks better that way but I guess its no good for the xm signal
