worn pump shaft

Is it normal for the pump shaft to be worn on these transmissions or is this a bad sign of things inside the tranny?

Tranny worked good before pulled. But just curious.

They are known for becoming warn over time....not new or out of the ordinary.

So it's not a sign of abuse. That's good. Just have to buy another one.
