I'm working alone, night auditor quit on us. Sucks cause now we have to do shifts solo during the week and I hate training people, this job is not for the weak. You have to sacrifice your social life, then you have to be able to use computer (Excel skills are a plus), and finally be able to do math (which apparently alot of people that already work here don't possess, since I'm an auditor, I fix alot of mistakes during the night).
Topic for the night though is....
What is with this phone tonight?
I've had a phone call every 10 mins, people wanting a room for the night, tell them its 99.99 + tax. You hear a pause and the response is either:
a - I only got like 50 bucks can you make it work.
b - Got any discounts for Midas Muffler points
c - Oh damn, can I have the room until late tomorrow night; which the answer is no, cause check out is at 12, half day charges don't start until 5-6amish, but you have to book the room for a full day as well, this ain't no Motel 6 people.
