Transmission would not shift this morning when trying to get on interstate. Had it 3/4 to wide open trying to speed up into traffic and it wouldnt shift from 2 to 3 rpm went to 5500 and when i left of the gas for a second it shifted but then the SES light started flashing. on the way home i tried speeding up slower and didnt have any problem with it shifting, but when i tried it again futher down the road 3/4 to wide open it did the samething. Drove it around for an hour and no problems with it shifting. Seams like it only has a problem when trying to speed up fast. Wonder how serious of a problem im looking at or if it might be something that is a simple fix.
 


The SES light will only flash when there is an engine misfire, so you will likely find either code PO300 or similar code in the code history and this could be the source of your problem. Go over all of your secondary ignition components such as coils and coil terminals for the plug wires, inspect plug wires and ends for good connections, and check or replace spark plugs.
