Wondering about gears and powerband...quick question

Just wondering what mph 2000-2002 generation GTP's switch gears in:

1st gear mph-mph
2nd gear mph-mph and what rpm you would be in WOT from 1st
3rd gear mph-mph and what rpm you would be in WOT from 2nd
4th gear mph-mph and what rpm you would be in WOT from 3rd

Also what is the sweet powerand in RPM's for GTP's?

i have 3.29s (it's a GT) and my car shifts around 44, 82, etc. i havent gone fast enough to shift into 4th at WOT. it'd be way over 100.

most depends on your mod level, cam, and any tuning that changes those parameters.

stock 02 settings from the performance shift tables are as follows

1>2 WOT 5350 RPM and 42 MPH
2>3 WOT 5275 RPM and 80 MPH
3>4 WOT 4400 RPM and 124 MPH

iirc the powerband is strongest between 3500 and 4500. Look at the cam list sticky. There is a chart with a desktop dyno showing theoretical powerbands for stock and a couple of aftermarket cams.

me being pretty much stock i get full boost around 4500 and up.
with 3.29 gears. most have 2.93
1st 45
2nd 80
3rd 125
the rpms drop to about 4k on each shift. i have a video in the lounge of 0-100. you can see what it drops to each gear.
being about stock with an intake i pull my hardest after 4500 or atleast thats how it feels
 
wtf my cars performance dosent change after 4500 rpm. It just gets real loud and doesnt move any faster. My peak performance is at about 15 mph in first gear. If u hit it right, it will pull very nice.
 


1st Gear is until around 45 or so...shift point set @ 6300 for both...
2nd Gear goes until about 95 ish
3rd Gear...ummm...I got it to shift into Overdrive but idk how fast I was going...I am guessing about a buck fitee?

Edited for a thought...Get a cam...powerband is EVERYWHERE!!! :D Especially burning the tires AFTER it shifts into 2nd...

i get full boost after 4500 rpm and it feels like it starts to pull harder, i dont really notice it in first but i notice it more in second and a lot more in third.

that graph that you posted up in the ported manifold thread was showing max torque at about 4300 and hp was still gaining at 5500.
