A buddy has a 94 or 95 mustang GT 5.0 pretty nice car have an intake and all MSD wiring and coils. would my 99 GTP with a FWI have a chance and killing him or no?:th_scratchhead: were hanging out soon and i wanna no haha
 


More than likely he won't have a chance. Thats assuming your car runs like it should, and he does'nt have any mods you don't know about.
 
You should be able to take him..the 94 GT's stock are only 215hp but they have 5 lbs/tq more than a gtp and around 250lbs less, but still should be able take him
 
If he knows how to drive it probably not. I should know i have one (408 instead of the 302) and have raced a stock one with exhaust.

Those 408's are strong running motors...I like my dad's foxbody sporting a 460, he runs 1/8mile but I think that big block would be a much better 1/4 mile car

Your alright man...I don't care what they say about ya lol...Yea I like the 351's way better than the 302 blocks. The highest you can go with a stock 302 block is a 347.And with a stock 351 block you can actually stroke it to a 427. for the difference between a 347 and a 408 being 2 or 3 hundred...you can't go wrong. I bet that car your dads got is pretty nice.


correction-351 big bore block can go to a 454...pretty crazy...all that and it's still considered a small block lol
 
not the best looking paint, its a pure track car. He's running 7.60's all motor (auto), but I hate to tell him, those built 302's and 351's are killing him, he has a 250 shot of NO2 sitting in his shop, but he wont put it on, since he just broke a rear end. Now all he needs is a 9 inch rear and he's good to go lol
 


you'll win...even the new gt's I take off the line...the catch me though. I raced one about that year the other day, and i didn't even have to try at all to put distance on him.

just hope he dont have 4.10's my bro has an auto with about the same mods but with exhaust and were side by side at the track
 


like i said Your not going to beat him if he has got half a clue how to drive that thing. 4.10's are the highest any one i know would go that drives it on the street with a t-5 transmission (manual)
 
yea a stick would be even quicker with 4.10 gears. one more gear to distribute the power. and i have seen daily driven 4.30 and 4.56gears with the t-5. but they also run a little bit bigger tire so it equals out.
 
yea i rode in a 86 hatchback with a 351 carbed with 456's...it was bad
