I have a droid incredible, I'd like to get a car mount kit but I don't want to have my car charger always plugged into the outlet. So I thought I could wire that into the cig power but from what I read I can't just do that as its 12v and the phone need 5v. So I've read that if you take the car charger and pull apart the actualy plug end I should be able to take the wires for that and wire that to the + and - wires and that will regulate the voltage down to 5v and should work. Does this sound anything close?
