I have a 1999 grand Prix with the better part of 300000 on it still runs good but tranny is starting to act up. I have found a 2005 with less than 100000 on it that is wrecked for cheap. I was wondering if the dash out of the 05 will bolt in the 99 so i can just swap every thing out of the 05 into the 99 computer and all
 


wont work. you can use the engine and tranny if they are both n/a or supercharged.

if one is s/c and the other n/a you'll need to do some tuning.
 
so the dashes are different how they bolt in ?? Both are na cars so the comp in the 99 will work for the tranny out of the 05??
 
you cant use anything from the 04+ in a 97-03 its not the same.

the engine and tranny are use able. (you'll have to swap the shiftier from internal to external on the tranny)

people do swap the seats too, but you need to re wire them to work. other then that, theres not to much that will transfer over.
 
ok so the tranny is my main problem my seats are worn in the 99 also but that's another day. so i would have to take the side case of the tranny to swap from internal wiring i guess on the 05 are ther any write ups on doing this that you know of
 
Yup pull he motor and trans is just about the only thing you can use. The seats you can swap if you like but that had 0 to do with the drivetrain itself.
