Will a L26 Aluminum oil pan fit my 98 GP L36????

Hello all, I'm not new here as I've been checking these forums for years now for tips and info. Just recently decided to make my own pro because I can't find any info on buying a Aluminum L26 oil pan and swapping it onto my 98 GP GT L36. I'm tired of the steel one being over tightened by young techs, thus leak oil.
Thx everyone!

As far as I know you need either just the pan, then grind down your engine mount bracket to fit around that pan or get the pan and the engine mount bracket from an 04+ gp.

Ahhh so i need to use the 04 and up engine anchor mount bracket instead the prev gen like mine.

Thx, just tryin to be extra careful. I think all I need is the l26 pick up tube and the l26 pan from what ive read there. But im waitin on his reply. Also im not sure if I have a aluminum subframe which would make things even more different

your frame is steel. id leave it that way too, not worth swapping really. nice, but i really think the steel one is stronger.

im not sure on the parts list, bill wont be back till tomorrow morning more then likely.

if you search around some more theres a few of these threads. and you'll need to find the how to change a oil pan thread, that job alone is no fun, it wont just drop off the sub frame needs to be lowered a bit and yeah, it looked like fun.

search "my oil pan swap from hell". i think that was the name of it lol lots of pics of it coming out and back in iirc.

Lol thx for the help. Yeah I'm kickin myself for not doing this when I did my anchor mount lol woulda been perfect timing.
