Will a 06 GXP exhaust fit a 2001 GTP?

I need to replace my exhaust from the resonator back. I found someone selling a 06 GXP exhaust and was hoping it would fit my 01 GTP. Does anyone know if it will fit with or without modifications (relatively cheap modifications)? Here is a pic, can anybody tell if the radius of the bends will line up with my GTP?

I was wondering that too... I have a borla on my GTP and was thinking it would sound better on my GXP. I found this on summit, only one system has the same part number that I found. Let us know if you do it and of course PICTURES

I have a buddy running a gxp cat back on his gt 2. Not sure if it was direct swap but it obviously wasent something midas couldn't handle

Will this option work? Get Midas to take out the broken resonator altogether, and switch out both broken mufflers to 1 magnaflow 26" glasspack on either side? So basically just all piping from the cat to the glasspack? I don't really care how the sound will be. Right now I have 2 holes in my resonator and both my mufflers are split down the welding so it is very loud right now. My main concern is not choking on exhaust fumes and not having my car sputter down the road. I'm looking at this glasspack, will it work with a 2001 GTP?

If you're going to get exhaust done, do it right the first time.

As for the original question, its all metal, it can all be welded and bent with a pipe bender to work one way or another.

I got the car in April, it's an 01 that isn't in great shape, it has very high mileage, many problems but it is my only car. I will not spend a lot of money doing the repairs you guys would with your cared for vehicles. This car can die on me any day, until then I just want to fix the problems at the lowest cost.

Wow... That's pretty steep.

I don't know what shipping would be to canada, but zzp sells this ZZPerformance - 3" Aluminized Catback Exhaust #
You could get 2 Thrush Turbo mufflers for around $20 each at autozone (again, that's US prices). That would put you a little over 320+ shipping. No welding required, then you could upgrade mufflers for a better sound later.

Just checked and shipping would be $98. If the total for everything was around $250 I would drive to Buffalo and get everything done there. I wanted to keep it under $200 for parts and labour. Just looking for the absolute cheapest route.

The only other thing I can think of would be going to a junkyard and pulling one. I'm not sure what that would cost, but could be within your budget.

Ya I was thinking that, I just hate having to find the junk yard and then searching the lot. Some of the yards here don`t keep inventory, they just tell you to look yourself.

For 200 you could be a glass pack put in where the res was and some pipe put in where the mufflers where. Then at least the exhaust will be going out the back.

So your saying I only need to put 1 glasspack in place of the resonator, and then just straight piping to the end where the mufflers are now? Do I put tips on the end of the pipes or just leave the 2.5" piping or whatever it is?
