I have the opportunity to buy a 98 gtp with a blown engine and i know someone who has a wrecked 03 gtp with a running engine. Will the engine otta the 03 bolt right into the 98 gtp? I thought it would being they are the same engine, but some of the people i talk to said that they are different and that i can not put a engine otta a 03 gtp in a 98 gtp car. Please let me know.

Yup.
My 1997 I bought had a blown motor in it. I installed a new take out 1999 motor with 7 miles on it and all I had to do is change a few vacuum lines over and wha-la she runs.
As long as the PCM stays the same, it does not care what year the motor is.
