hi i just got a transmission from a junk yard it was from a chevy venture same year as my gp they said they checked in the computer and it says its a direct replacement will it work or are they full of it thanks

Sorta kinda, maybe... It's the same unit, IE casing, etc... I can tell you I've encountered several differences ranging from minor, to not so minor (input spine count and torque converter , PWM, and non-PWM just to name a few) when interchanging salvage units customers have brought in. Best bet is to get the tag code from the side of the units and let me know- I'll cross 'em for ya.

tranny is at the shop whitch is closed till the 27th so ill get it for u then
 


Should be 4 additional numbers there, as well as a 2 letter suffix... I'll do some digging, but likely, it'll swap, as that does cross to a PWM unit.
 
sweet thanks for the help the yard i got it from said it will work i just wanna double check tranny was from a 2001 venture with 60 k miles and my gp is a 2001 as well
