Tofu Delivery Boy
My wife wanted to dump to the Scion for something slightly larger. So I touted her around a few dealers and she fell in love with the new Cruze. I have to say I like the car a lot too. After a few dealers we found what we wanted and picked up an 11 Cruze 2LT with the RS package. Here's a few pics, odo now has around 500 mi on it. We were able to take it home for a night and play with it before we made any decisions and we put a few miles on it then. Any way, peeeeeks.

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

No manual.

I haz sad face.

Also, needs intake for more turbo noises.

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Ha, yea she wanted an auto. First order of business will be tint. Then front and rear black bow tie overlays, debadging the LT on the rear and replacing it with an RS. As far as an intake is concerned, Katey is not wanting one. I for sure would like one, zzp has one out already and injen has one soon to be released. Zzp also claims the factory intercooler is pretty crappy, so I'm sure there are gains to be had with an ic upgrade and a bigger snail. But idk if that will ever happen to this car...

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Yeah...been following the ZZP stuff. IC is about the size of a shoe box and the turbo is comparable to a Hostess Fudge Round. Intake and DP add nearly 15 FWHP. I'd tint it and get a K&N Drop-In or just a cone filter...I'd leave it alone really.

These however...were the wheels I was looking at when I was gonna get one...LTZ ones are legit.

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

You can't get the turbo with a manual unless you get the eco which is lowered from factory BUT has no rear watts link and rear drums instead of discs.

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

my sister just bought one and LOVES it. got a good deal on it, and i had no idea they had a turbo...but apparently it's teeny weeny...lol

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Looks like you bought it a Cable-Dahmer? My dad just bought a '10 Silverado Crew from there and had a good experience. Take off the dealer sticker as well and it'll make a big difference. Their sticker is way too big for me but I'm one the debadges everything anyway. I don't like extra badges on my stuff normally.

I like it! For nothing done to it. How's the ride quality?
Thanks! Ride quality is great. Really surprised on the whole car actually, it's pretty nice.

Yea I wanted the four wheel discs brakes.

We had a great experience, our salesman was awesome. Very pleased with him and how he worked with us on our trade. But the finance guy was a complete douche. We had dealt with him before about three years ago when we were looking at an impala and he was a used auto salesman for cable dahmer. We walked away once from him. He was a douche then and when I found out he was in finance I about cringed. We got what we wanted after arguing with him about warranties for 45 minutes.

Ha,convince Kate and it'll be on in no time. Trifecta tunining has already created a file for a factory motor and I dynoed 152 whp and 193 ftlb tq.

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Ha, it's gonna stay stock for a while guys. I am getting frustrated at the transmission though. A six speed auto takes some getting used to and from what I've read around it takes a few thousand miles for it to smooth out. The trans in the cruze has it's own computer and learns supposedly. I'm also contemplating a 1k mi oil change what do you guys think?

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Nada...let it sit...break in oil brutha.

It has warranty...so if anything fux up...take it back. Also...every new car has different new oil change intervals...the 'Stang was 8 or 10k IIRC...check the manualz

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

ya i like em i might own one in the future but intake and thats all i would do to it

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

Needs mucho mods after riding in it with 4 people...its a little hunkered down :D And holy crap...you can't sit 4 tall people in there for the life of ya :p

I had 5 in it this weekend, not too bad but it was good to stretch after 3 hours. 6 speed manual helped the acceleration...

Re: Out with the Scion, in with the Cruze.

IIRC, the manual is faster off the line, then the gearing is biased towards the auto.

Mainly due to the fact that the manual is geared as a triple overdrive.
