Will the computer actually read a wideband O2 sensor on an 05' GTP correctly?

No? The PCM in used in the GP's are setup for narrowband O2s.

Then I guess everyone talking about wideband sensors are adding an external reader of some sort and a wideband sensor?

a wideband comes with a gauge, you can hook it up to a tuner.

Yeah you get a device that displays it. Newer cars (my cobalt) have a wideband built in.

dint take the pic to show the wideband, its a pic of the steering wheel, but thats it on the left.

I still have an old widband AFR gauge laying around I guess I would just need to get a wideband O2.

I want to say it was Dakota digital or Nordskog. I already have to order a couple of bung's for the headers anyway.
