why is there a G8 section but not a trans am?

i was surprise to see a G8 section in the 3800 grand prix forum, so how did the G8 get to be add in here beside that it's a pontiac? i don't have any hatred for the G8 cars i think they awesome looking for a 4 doors, but is that totally a different plat forum between the 2 cars:th_lipssealed1: i don't see why can't a LS1 trans am be add to the forum too after all it's a PONTIAC:)
 


ive really been meaning to get rid of it, really. yes, it is the successor of the grand prix...kinda, but it has nothing to do with this platform.

that being said, a trans am has NOTHING to do with this platform. i might just change it to an 'other pontiacs/cars' section.
 
you kinda speak above my head here so you saying there's going to be section for other pontiac cars?

This would be typical baller activity that you are known for.
 


The key word is "would" have replaced the Grand Prix, If Pontiac had not been retired. I say change it to other pontiacs, or Trans Am seeing as how more members on here have a T/A than they do a G8.

If this is a 3800 GP forum, why do we have sections for pregens?

This site is about a single engine or platform? I thought it was open to all Grand Prix engines/ platforms.

While you were down there making changes, you should have gotten rid of the link to pontiac forums, because it's nothing but an abandoned forum littered with spam.
 
Rocket should just delete that forum. It's really good for nothing but spam bots and it looks like something a 6th grader designed with MS Paint.
 


It wouldn't be hard since it doesn't look like there's a lot of activity. Swing by once a week, delete posts, ban spambots, done.

Hi. You must be new to the "Grand Prix" community. Let me give you a quick rundown. Everybody knows that the Grand Prix didn't exist till '97, and everybody knows the only motor that matters in them is the 3800. [/mentality value = typical GP owner]

....anyhow....

I thought it was pretty obvious as to why there's a G8 section here (and ClubGP). The G8 was the successor to the Grand Prix. G8 = 8th gen GP (*gasp* yes! there were 7 gens of GPs!!), just as the G6 = 6th gen of GA and the G5 is the 5th gen of the Sunbird/Sunfire. Therefore, this being a GP forum in general (not a w-body forum, or a 3800 forum), it makes perfect sense for there to be a G8 board on it.
