Why cant i post in the for sale section??

i am upping that post count to a much higher and unknown number that we will not preach to people. there are too many people getting scammed and i only want to allow people who are active in the community to sell.

so, have fun after i change that.

Wow...... okay...

Well, I would like to post a vehicle for sale.. it would be a bit hard to scam someone that way... ok well i guess ill wait until i have the appropriate amount of posts..

Its about time something gets done with the FS section. Now if only we could do some other stuff.... hmmmm
 


I've already made my suggestions about pruning the sale section. anything that is over a month old (unless it has current bargaining going on) or has no activity should either be locked and or pruned. It sucks when ever people go to the sale section to look at stuff its either someone bringing up a thread that is like a year old , the seller hasn't logged in quite some time etc and we end up going through numerous useless posts. Also another thing, if the seller has a specific price for something, don't sit there and say well I can get this cheaper elsewhere crap... If you can get it some where else cheaper than do it but don't clog up the persons thread by posting useless garbage.
If this were done then at least it would keep everything fresh in there. Plus the sellers need to take responsibility and either lock their thread or at least put the SOLD icon up.

I should also note, by clearing up the for sale section it would clear up some bandwidth wouldn't it? Another forum I frequent only has 3 pages of for sale items. We have 125 here.

The trimming old posts I agree. But you will ALWAYS get someone who complains about price I dont think theres a way to filter that anywhere. And sometimes it is useful to be pointed out that your price may be a little high. In some cases I have seen people drop their prices as they were unaware of it. Good suggestions though

True.. There will always be complaints about prices. Suggestions would be more than welcome I'm sure, its just sometimes others are a little rude about it.

I mean it got so bad on the other forum that they locked the sale section so you can only reply to the seller via pm or e-mail because of all the clutter.
 
i will go through the sale section this weekend just for you and set up some settings so it clears itself after so long.
 


i got one...can you please give the option for a seller to earase his thread so itll keep down on clutter but have all prior for sale threads logged under his profile. i hate doing a search for a part (yes i use the search button) only to find thread after thread that all the parts are already sold. this would be far easier than a thread starter just writing sold next to everything and would cut down on a lot of clutter
 
and thank you bio for the amazing idea of raising the thread count and keeping it secret...that should have happened ages ago. but on the other hand there are times that newbies have been here before under a different name (myself included) or came form another forum (because the other ones suck) so how about a new section where newbies can post anything for sale but have it clearly labeled that this section is for anyone selling anything and that buying from this section caries extreme risk. honestly i just dont wanna miss out on a good deal and sometimes newbies are the best for that...hehehe
