I have never had good luck with the built in version of remote desktop. I get it working when i bring my laptop to the office and use someone elses wifi for testing. When i get home i always have issues. Need to reboot the host puter etc.

Any other good software out that works better?
 


I have it working great, even across XP-Vista. What issues are you having? Are you trying to access the same computer ever time, or from the same computer every time?
 
trying to use the same computer to access the same computer at my office. I have th port fowared correctly, Just about 1/2 the time it will not connect. I even verfyed that the receiving computer is not asleep. Just tiring it not always working.
