I have a set of Raybestos blue plate specials with z-pack steels new in the box. I know these aren't available anymore, but before I decide to use them I just wanted to double check my options.

The car is a daily driver, lots of stop and go driving. I'm just wondering if these are the best choice for my car. How do the blues hold up in daily driving?

The car will see occasional track use this year on E85 and lots of boost, hoping to dyno about 425-450whp, but is and will always be a street car first.

Would the high energy or tan ones with extra clutches from 3EP be a better choice?

Thanks,

Jeramie

Yes. Get the clutch setup from 3EP. Blue z-pac's are not made for daily drivers. They are pretty much a track only clutch.

Raybestos Stage 1. When i talked to the Raybestos Guys, told them what i had, and what i wanted to do, these were recommended for the High HP Street/Track builds.

I also used the GM Racing clutch stacking and TEP 3rd Clutch piston

Thanks guys.. I heard the original blue plate clutches had glazing issues, but these are the gen 2 blue plates, which many others said should be fine for street use. I'm not sure what to do. I have these in hand already, and this project is getting expensive quick. But if they wont hold up for daily driving I don't wasn't to use them.

Had anyone actually used these and seen the failure using them in a daily?
