• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hi I'm new this this site. So I'm about to jump into a complete build of a 2002 GTP. I'm not going to get completely wild. I'm thinking of a cam, lifters. springs and retainers, pushrods, timing set, CAI, 3.25 pulley, headers, u-bend delete, improving flow in and out with mild port work, PCM up grade. Now I have looked at a few different suppliers. For the people that have done this, whom is the best and the worst, I have seen prices vary for the same products, also what about balance shaft removal, also is there a different MAF for modified engines. Any info would greatly be accepted, Mike.

Also headers replace the stock DP so no need for a u bend delete.
Ditch the CAI and make a DIY intake for 40 bucks or less.
I think MAF options if you outflow your stock one are LT1 MAF and I think there is another but I can't remember (LQ4?)
Honestly I have only heard of a balance shaft delete from the silly Facebook groups and nobody ever had a good reason to delete it.
For places to buy things, look in our classifieds section lots of go fast parts for cheap.
Other are
Intense
Wbodystore
Zzzzzzzperformance
3800performance
Probably a few more I can't remember.

if your patient, you can find all of that used for far less then zzp will charge you. some times you find new not installed for sale too and they are cheaper then from zzp. people just cut their losses.

i just scored used headers for 100 bucks. then some new unused poly zzp rad side bushings and a new set of al 104 plugs for 45 bucks off cl.

plugs here cost 16 for the set. the poly's are like 60 from zzp. cant see how any one can hate on that math lol

Can't really say who's the best because I ordered from all of them at one point in time. It just depends on what I need.. ZZP has some of the other things that the other guys don't have but their shipping charges can be ridiculous. Other things I can just get locally from advance but that mainly maintenance parts and not so much performance related. Browse the classifieds, you can find new or used parts for usually much cheaper.
