Where to run wires

So i installed my new HU 2 nights ago (VM9224bt) and last night i started running the wiring for my amp (KX600.1) which will be mounted in the trunk. Problem being that the route i was going to use for my power wire is longer than the wire itself.

So i am looking for some ideas on where everyone has run their wires or if there is somewhere else i can mount my amp.

Also where has everyone run the ground wire for their amps?

Ground wire under back seat.

Run wires in the plastic pieces holding the carpet down on the sides. If they're not long enough, buy or make longer wires.

I found a factory hole with a rubber grommet by the gas and brake petals just a few inches down from the top of the carpet. Then I ran my power wire under the plastick on the bottom of the door all the way to the back and I ran my 2 wires from my HU on the right side under the plastic under the door to the back.

this is how i "was" gonna do it until i got the power wire ran and it came up short. about 2ft from the battery.

well all better now. i ran the power and amp turn on through a grommet near passenger feet then ran it around the right side of the car under the plastic to the trunk. ran the rca's over a panel above the drivers knees then under the plastic all the way around to the trunk. tonight after work i will run the ground and attach everything.
