Air box might be a good bet, it's there on the 97+ cars.

Or it's near the battery or fuse box.

Not in the air box or under it that I could see

take the filter out, it should be in the other 1/2 on the bottom. if you look at the sides of the box you should see a wire harness entering the air box.

if its anything like a 97 up car.

and you mean pcm? Like for the engines brains?

The PCM is in the middle of coolant box, engine, and STB, guess it is close to the coolant box.
