Where does this connector go?

I was working on car this Saturday and i found this connector just hanging over the passenger side axle.

I was looking around and i could not find the correct mounting location for it. I pulled the passenger side wheel off and i zip tied it to the power steering line for now.

Any suggestions?

Oil level/pressure sender harness, maybe? Not sure exactly where the factory tie location is. Let me look in my GM SI manual and see if I can find out what it is.

What year car?

Its not the pressure switch, you can see it connected just forward of where he zip tied the connector. I know there is a connector in that area that has a single light green wire to it. But what it does I do not know and if that is the connector I am not sure.

if you have an oil pressure gauge then its the low oil light thing. it gets disconnected when you have to put in an aftermarket sending unit.

Its either #3 or #4. I traced the harness to that connector and it is going the rear bank knock sensor! aka detonation sensor.

i want to fix it the right way but i need more info. Thanks.

I would say in the picture above, it is #4. And I believe that is something for the PS, right?

Mine kinda hangs down I think.

I see it now it is #4 but where does it clip onto? The P/S reservoir? If it clips onto the reervoir, how do i change the reservoir out?

#4 is indeed the connector for the Knock sensor, bank 2. As you can see in the picture I posted there is a loop hole in the PS pump that a "peg" or similar on the connector should snap through.

Is there anything wrong leaving the connector the way it is now. I cant find the reservoir by itself.

I see nothing wrong with leaving it this way. Mine is just hanging down like yours was, and I sleep just fine at night. ;-)
