so recently my motor has seized and i have not pulled it quite yet but i will be within the next couple days. im 95% sure its a spun bearing. i have invested waaay too much between the suspension, a/c, and steering in hope that this newly rebuilt motor would last. i had done some modding. nothing too crazy. bored .030 over, cam, little head work. but i think im just going to go back to stock. so my question is... where can i pick up a professionally built STOCK long block for cheap? at rock auto i can pick one up for about 2500. it also has a pretty good warranty. is there anywhere else i could look that you guys would reccomend?

a few years back i got an L32 complete engine with 34k on it for $600 off of car-parts.com

in ZZP's used section they have 2 L32s for sale, one with 30k for 1400.

nevermind i found the adapter.

thanks scotty but the mileage is a little high for me. im probably juts gonna go with a l32

I've seen motors on car-part.com for as cheap as $150 with 200k+ on them, I picked mine up for $950 with 25k on it off car-parts.com. if you look there are good deals.

L26 goes for around $300 near me. if you find one from an 06+ they will have the l32 rods. then you are just doing a top swap.

i think i found a winner. on car-part.com. 55K miles $1400 69 miles away from me in lake city. already called the guy. got arrangements to pick it up in about a week and a half

but i do have a question... is the gen III s/c compatible with the l32 motor? i know it is not as efficient but i want to keep any spare parts from my old motor that i can use later.

i'd use the l67 lower manifold and all that goes with it. it should bolt up, people put the gen V l32 manifold and blower on l67 all the time.

*EDIT: but if you are getting a complete engine, sell the the blower and heads and all the pulleys off your old engine for a complete top swap, it will get snatched up and you can recoup some of your losses.

ya thats the plan. i got an xp cam, push rods, lifters, 105 springs and machined/modded heads im going to sell off if everything goes well.
