What's wrong with my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged?

One day I was going to the store and my car completely shut off in the middle of an intersection, it started back up after a minute or so. Then it happened again a few days later and I had to pull over and it didn't start back up for 5-10 minutes. Before the second incident, I was driving the car and I tried to drive but it didn't move, almost like the parking brake was on (the parking brake wasn't on). I haven't been able to drive the car in over two weeks, can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? And if you know what is wrong with it, how much would it be to repair the damages?
 


has the tach ever dropped to zero and the TCS and ABS lights come on, but the car was still running? it almost sounds like a crank position sensor.
 
How old is your battery? Are the terminals on tight? Wires looking like they are in good shape? Alternator charging properly?

I HATE electrical gnomes...
 
The tachometer dropped to zero and both lights are on, I thought it was the crank sensor but I wanted to see if anyone knew or if someone else had that same problem. Thanks!
