Its not that small is it?
i could be wrong as im not a super hardcore gamer but i do my fair share. lately almost all the games i see out now are remotely the same whether it be call of duty, halo, or any first person you are pretty much runnin around with a weapon tryin to kill as many enemies as you can... not to mention the "colorful" conversations most gamers have online. what happened to games with a badass storyline? like in the old days with mario and sonic or zelda where you didnt get bored with it? maybe its just me does anyone have any good suggestions on new games? ive had my ps3 for about 2 years now and maybe only played games on it about 3% of the time.

there's lots of games. If you like Zelda, maybe play more of the bigger RPG games like Oblivion, Fable, or DragonAge:origins. What about Assassins Creed 2? I can honestly say, I love games with guns. I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Gears of War 2 right now mostly. I'm ready to sell my Call of Duty MW2.

Oh, and another game that is made by the same makers of Oblivion, is Fallout 3. thats a massive game.

And, i love the conversations online lol You just gotta get in with a Party of 4-5 people you met online, that are good at the game, and its lots of fun. i laugh so hard at times i cant play the game :th_laugh-lol2:
 
im sure there are good games its just to me its gettin like tv...lol. but thanks for the suggestions... honestly im just waitin for the next resident evil or silent hill. im really into survival horror.
 
well, if ur into that stuff, theres dead space and i think dead space 2 is coming out sometime this year...

have you looked into Alan Wake? that came looks crazy weird

what about Left 4 Dead 2?
 
omg, dude, cod mw 2 is cool when drunk/high african american is talking to yall. i almost pissed my pants.

regarding single player storyline games - theyre dead. mass effect 2 was the only good one ive seen within a year. that and GTA4 DLC's
 
I recently picked up Darksiders and Dantes Inferno, but since you have a PS3... I would look into God of War.

mw2 was decent but short , bad companys decent
mercenaries 2 was fun Im just bored with gaming in general
i have dead space turn the lights off and surround sound up and it gets a little jumpy at times
we also have a wii
so we have mario and sports resort crap like that but its a fun night when every ones drinking and swinging controlers
also have modern warfare reflex and i dont have the patients for it on wii
silent hill was kinda trippy on wii though
 
i have yet to play Dead Space. Looks good and freaky, i just don't wanna have nightmares lol

did you guys see the next COD game coming out in fall? Blackout i think it was called. Has to do with Vietnam. I dunno how it will look tho with Treyarch being the maker this time. I wasn't a fan of the last Treyarch COD...
 
if you want story line, play single player or co-op.

i dont see your point about mw2. stay way from free for all and tdm. like warbeaver said, find a couple online buddies, join a party and play objective based games. just dont be that douche whos out for kill/death ratio. who cares how many kills you get, id rather win than go 15-1.

yeah, its so boring after a while when you play all by yourself online. You win more games having ppl that can actually hear you and follow orders/directions

Halo Reach beta = Nuts!
Halo 3 Meh was fun the first 6 months
CODMW2 fun in moderation
Bad Company 2. Destroying buildinds crushing your enemys
Splinter Cell: Conviction Death from the shadows. awesome upgraded weapons
 


SHOOTERS SUCK!!

anyone supporting MW and all its 'glory' need to be ended. it's time for a change in gaming, back to the fantasy side of it. i want some storyline, unrealistic creatures, unworldly weapons, characters with depth, etc. **** all these generic shooter games. weak sauce to the max.

this is why im a 'nerd' and play final fantasy. there is actually a GAME to be played and a STORY to be interested in.

both these games are on PS3 as well. i own both and have beat both. both of them are fantastic games and finally put something interesting into my hands instead of me going over to my friends houses and watching them play MW2 online like its the best thing since sliced bread.
 
thank you bio... i totally forgot about the FF series. but i do agree. im not a big fan of shooters. hows the new one? have you played it? the only one i got hooked on was ff7 but after that i just quit with games and then got back into em... and now all i see are shooters. but yeah ill try god of war. now if i can find the time to become a gamenerd again...lol
 
Left 4 dead 2 is awesome fun, but the servers can be horrible at times (for online campaign). MW2 can be hilarious with a group. Nazi Zombies is the best co-op COD experience so far, could have been better if they had 4 person splitscreen though.
 
Nick, I agree yet disagree...

MW has indeed sold out since thats where the money is but older CoD games were great.

Dead space is a MUST PLAY.

MGS4 is a "interesting" "shooter" if you would even call it that. Worth playing.

Condemned games... rent them, play them, enjoy them. They're worth your time.

Bio shocks are decent.

Heavy rain is a must play. Its a different style of game altogether and gets you going.
 
FFXIII is awesome. i am playing through that right now and until i beat that no other game will get my attention.
 


I'm waiting for Mafia II to come out. (Praying that August 24th is the actual release date)

I think it should be epic story-wise and probably everything else too. The cut-scenes look amazing, like watching a movie.

The first game was the same way, better than most graphics wise and had a great story.
 
I actually brushed the dust off of my Forza 3 and forgot how much fun it is drinking and driving, whilst shaving off 5 thousands of a second.

Don't you PS3 folks have Gran Turismo coming out soon :th_laugh-lol3:
