What's The Verdict On New Regal GS?

I know it hasn't hit the street yet but what's everyones opinion on the new GS? Could this be the closest we'll get to a modern GP?

All wheel drive and a nine speed auto with an N/A V6?

Doesn't sound very close to me.

If you're looking for a modern GP; see: Malibu

The GS, Impala and GP all shared similar platform. Not too much of a stretch to envision that IF the GP were still being produced today that it could bear some resemblance to the cars it shared a platform with in the past.

Regardless, the one or two reviews I've read on the GS appear positive. I'm not a new car buyer or a leaser but it will be interesting to see how the latest GS is received and how it holds up over the next few years. Could be worth purchasing a gently used one in a few years if my 04 GP ever goes to that big junkyard in the sky (which I hope it doesn't for some time!).

I just got the wife a 2014 Buick Regal T. I love this car. Bummedits hers and I’m stuck with my NA 3.8 Grand Prix GT.

Turbo 2.0 4 cylinder, FWD, 6 speed auto. Car was a recentlyturned in 2 year lease. Car had about 34K on the odometer and we go the car for$16K.

I’ve read all the 2014 car review on the model. Car is wellbalanced. Brakes good and a 260 (259) HP and its fast. No turbo lag at all.Being a 6 speed, its very shifty. Lock the gear selector into a gear and easeinto the gas and it pulls hard from about 2,500K to redline. Car is too damnquiet too.

I checked out the Regal GS’s. Those have AWD and a few morebells and whistles. Front nose, rims, dash set up, but was more pricey.

We’re selling her 1998 GTP. I was going to keep the car and doa top swap, but after seeing what potential the 2.0 Turbos have in the new(er)Buicks, I’m kinda depressed now. LOL. With a tune, piping, etc, etc, thesethings can be over 300HP easy.

I'm liking the look so far. Can't wait to actually see one. 310hp V6 AWD sounds good for a daily driver. I really like HUD too after having it on my 01 GT.

Coming from experience with a ~300hp V6 AWD car, it'll probably catch you off guard the first time you mash the pedal....

It'll hook like nobody's business.
