What’s this called? LIM tube inside right by egr tube entrance



Cars without a supcharger have a thing there for the EGR and it will cause the plastic intake manifold to melt and leak coolant into the engine. The new design is what I call the stove pipe that is smaller in diameter and will not touch the UIM and stops the melting.

Cars with a supercharger do not have anything that goes in that hole. I've never installed anything there on a L67 or L32 intake manifold. Just put a new gasket on there and away I went.
