heres my dilema , 99 gp gt with 188,000 miles. motor runs like a raped ape (had a gm crate motor installed by previous owner at 110,000 due to lower intake gasket let go) , rides like a tank because struts are all original and windshield leaks like niagra falls on the driver side from rust under the windshield weather striping.
question is is this worth parting or should i just ship it to the bone yard ? im half tempted to pull the motor (dont ask why but for some sick twisted reason i want to stuff it in my 64 corvair convertible but i know i'll never get around to it).
i guess more than that i'm tossing out a feeler to see if anyone is in the market for any of the major components , leather seats , motor , wheels ? if the major parts are gone then id part it , if not itll most likely sit in the weeds.
 


depends on that parts that you can take off it.

depends on the color and "rustyness" of the exterior

depends...? crate motor at 110k, but what are your miles now? i want a new(er) l36 block...
 
188,000 miles on it now , i really dont want to get rid of it but some of these cars gotta go. the grand prix is my favorite but the most high milage and the most problems. major one being the roof leaking. will most likely part it out , dont want to sell it because it has small issues that i dont want to deal with like l/f hub and bearing and needs a crank sensor , front sway bar is broke. im sure i'll get another but it'll be a gtp.
