What wears to cause the classic rear camber issue?

We have 2 GP's and both have the "old VW" look from the rear with negative camber issues. Can anyone explain what wears or changes to cause this? (I know how to fix it with camber bolts or slotting)

If you know how to fix it, please do tell. I have tons of negative camber and two wore out tires to prove it. Going for new tires this weekend and I dont want to wear them out quickly.

your springs are getting saggy and old, thus lowering the rear end, thus creating more negative camber. better springs take car of this 100%. same with a good pair of struts.

take the strut bolts out and die grind the strut mount hole slots so as to allow the hub to tilt as needed. It is what I have done. Saved a few tires by now I assume.
