any 3800 series II or series II.

I take it you want supercharged? If so, L67 or L32.

They will work... Depending on the things you wanna change.
 
I dont wanna change anything at all. Just want another l67 engine to go in place of my current dead one. I found a cheap engine from a 1998 Buick park avenue and wondering if it will just bolt on my impala.
 
your impala never had an L67 in it... so the flex plate wont have the correct mounting bolts for your torque converter unless you already swapped the transmission and/or torque converter over the first time you did it.

Your car domain is funny...
 
I would think that would be okay then, its gonna be a series II but the belt routing is going to be different for the S/C which means you'll need a different belt.
