What up guys i'm spyda back in the grand prix forum... I just have one question can i use a normal pontiac grand prix transmission 98 - 2003 in my 1999 pontiac grand prix supercharged?? A little help please...

Yes you can, but without the HD diff in it, you're going to be breaking it, especially if the GTP is modded.

if ur gunna get a trans, ur gunna want a 98-02 GTP style trans, as in 2:93 gears, the GT trans has different gears (3.29) and has different shift pinots ans uch controlled by the computer.

so if you got a GTP trans is will already have the HD diff.

and ask any top-swapped car owner, the HD diff is not needed.

So will i need the hd diff?? Because my grand prix wont shift into 2 or 3 gear just first. I know its the transmission, i found a 1999 grand prix transmission with 80k miles on it for 200.00. But its not the supercharged version, so will i be taking a risk in damaging my car by using this tranny or should i just get mine rebuilt?
