Well unfortunately my parents borrowed my GTP for a long trip and the transmisson went out.. and they decided it would be a good idea to pay an aamco (I think its called?) $2,000 (yeah, I am NOT happy) or so for a trans swap. Well they didn't rebuild my core, they shipped it someplace and got a different rebuilt transmisson. On the papers it said they put in a 4T65E.. it didn't say 4T65E-HD.. (I have a 98 GTP) so I am thinking they put in the wrong transmission..It feels alot different pull wise just driving around town. Is there anyway to tell the difference without tearing it apart? Like mph shift points maybe? I kow the gear ratios are different. It's been a rough week what you guys think? Thanks.
 


If it had the wrong gear ratio, the shifting would be really screwed up and it would throw code. Doesn't sound like you're having those problems. They would have had to swap the passenger side axle as well, and I'm sure you would have gotten charged for that.
