What torque converter for 99 gtp

Hey everyone I have a 1999 gtp with a 4t65e-hd that the transmission was replaced with a 2000 gtp and torque converter. I would like to make sure the torque converter is correct so I'm wondering if anyone has the original number off a 99 gtp torque converter. Thank you Derrick

Not technically supposed to reuse torque converters. Triple edge performance has good quality products, that is where i got mine. Stock stall is what is recommended unless you plan on drag racing it.

just replaced the one in my 99 gtp with a percision one from tep 200 bucks stock replacement. even with a s1x cam and e85 setup i kept stock replacement.

edit call dave but i believe jtfm is the 4 letter code your looking for on a 99 gtp if you look on their site too.

if the tc is from the same used tranny, you can re use it.

you dont want to reuse A TC on another trans tho. especially if its off a blown tranny.

i must have missed the rebuild part, always use a new converter on a rebuild.

screw the rebuild id order a fresh reman precision from tep and send them your core back for the 50 dollar credit they give you back.

I have a guy rebuilding an old core I had laying around. He needed the 4 digit code to preorder my new torque converter so every thing will be brand new again
