What the hell did I just break?

I hardly touched this and it snapped off...What part would I have to get to replace it? I have no idea what this is, or does.

After looking loser, the line that is there seems to have broken previously and the yellow substance is what somebody used to hold it together again
 
That's your "PCv" fitting.
..either buy a ls6 or ls2 intake manifold or plasticweld or jbweld that fitting back into place. Its not easy to mend nylon 66 with normal adhesive so be careful on what adhesive you pick. You could also go buy a brass fitting and find a way to thread it in or something like that.
