soooooooooooooooo i bought this sony sub not even 2 months ago. complete downgrade from my old kickers/ diamond amp. jus to me anyway somethin small and quiet, just a nice lil bit of bass. anyway its in a sh1tty no ported box. long story short it fell over and the cone was resting on an antifreeze bottle. after a half hour of bumpin (on my way home from school) the sub got louder for a second and cut out. i automaticly knew what happened. blown. i could smell it but i kept tellin myself maybe the wire came loose. but sure enough i get home pop the trunk and a face full of smoke. nothin smells wose than burnt sub coils. im pissed. possibly maybeee buyin back my old system off the chick i sold it to for 300 bils cheaper haha im trien anyway

buddy has 2 sonys. he flew off the road and the sub box went flying arround in the trunk. they still bump well.

sony suck. i only bought it cause i got a random check from some class action thing. my buddy said hey put in ur adress n youll get a check. 3 months later i had a check for 100$ so i just bought this. thing was strait tho. deff bumped. but ive been lookin for a reason im just pro kicker. buyin back my old d600.1 diamond amp for dirt. probly puttin it on a 12in L5 or soething

Secure your crap in the trunk.. WTF. Or try putting a cheap grill over it. My grill cost $8 and would have saved that sub.

User error.. it cost you a sub to figure out you need to do a better install job. Call this tough love or something..but your post reminds me of the guy that did 90 in a 70 and *****ed about getting a ticket.

WHAT!!! Sony is awesom. Who else makes a 1000w amplifier and sells it for $150. HaHaHaHa, mabey if it was struck by lightning you could get close. The people that think Sony makes good car audio products have never owned quality products such as JL, Image Dynamics, Arc audio, etc. Sony is fine for a quick cheap system but then again so is Urban Audio Works:th_laugh-lol2may be to old for some of you to remember).

i've never even had anything quality, i can just compare it to pioneer, the other walmart brand, and pioneer blows it out of the water. i bought 6x9 replacement sonys for my rear deck and the pioneer 5.25 fronts sound better all around

I've rocked the Wal-Mart Pioneers and a friend had the Explodes in his truck. We thought we were hot sheeot at the time. Now $$$ has kicked in and he rocks a 7k Focal custom sound system in his truck. Sounds wicked, I went the cheaper route with Memphis components and soon to put my old 600C in the truck with a single 10 Mojo sub :th_winking:

Its all in how much you want to spend, but more importantly how you spend it. Ive rocked a $300 sound system that put out better numbers at a show than a guy with a $1000 sound system. Also depends on if you go with SPL or Quality Crispness, I got tired of rattling my car to pieces and prefer just to enjoy that perfect crisp sound, but to each his own :th_thumbsup-wink:
