What takes longer? Heads/Cam or Engine Swap?

So im stuck with trying to either pull the motor, in which I have never done. Or pull the heads and cam and put them in a new car when I get one. Ive done this twice. What should I do?

Pulling the engine is waay easier than doing it in the car. You can have it pulled in a couple of hours. Then you can get to things easily.

No *****ing at me please, I was being stupid racing this guy. This slight turn came up and I was doing about 90. I checked my brakes slightly and all of a sudden my rear end swung out and I started spinning then ended up in a ditch and slammed into a tree. I was saved big time as you can see.

Thanks alot, luckily I dont have any scratches or bruises. Im just kinda beat up tho but im in better health than expected. I am looking for another GP, but also wondering what else I can put it in. i know a fiero, but with my setup I will get 0 traction.

I might, but I been kinda looking at a monte carlo. Their interiors are so much nicer and they have way more guages like oil pressure that we do not.

On clubgp they told me to drop the engine cradle. That seems like less work.

dang dude. your pretty lucky and glad you came out of it good. i fliped one 3 times back in febuary, i wasent quite as lucky, my face drug the ground :( (hydroplaned in the rain = keep good tires on your car!!!!) i know nothing about pulling the motor but i just wanted to say i know how you feel and im glad your okay

Cradle is probably the easiest and you'll get the trans that way too. Just cut stuff if it gets in your way.

Doesn't look too bad....should buff right out. :th_winking:

Sorry to see what happened...glad you're ok! :th_angel:

Glad you are ok. Go get checked out by a good chiropractor. You may feel fine for months after your spine, especially neck, gets screwed up. The sooner it gets fixed, the easier it will be for you.

I will go get checked. My neck muscles are hurting today, they werent yesterday. My back feels fine tho.

Keep in mind that tranny won't work in 03+ cars. There were electronic differences.

And I think the Impala/Monte interior is better too... :th_biggrin2:

Monte interior is nice unless the soft touch crap starts coming off  Then you have to clean all of it off or get parts of the interior replaced.
