What spark plugs to use

I have a series 3 N/A engine with a series 2 top swap. Has a stock pulley, 3" down pipe with high flow cat, gutted air box and high flow filter, ZZP plug wires and a custom tune. What plugs and gap are recommended for it? I have been told numerous things. But I want to make sure. And I can't find any info for spark plug specs for a top swap.

Being a top swapped car makes no difference.

You dont have enough mods to really even adjust the spark plugs.

Stock heat range 606's or 605's copper cores should do fine.

I would be more worried about a KR issue with only having a downpipe on the top-swapped engine.

I only get a small blip of knock when letting off or or shifting at WOT. Recently I have been getting some knock under light throttle, with a load on the engine between 1k-2k rpm.

Buy 606 coppers, 0.60" gap. If she's happy, swap to 606 iridiums so you don't have to keep changing spark plugs (or don't if you like the chore).
If she's not happy, try 605 coppers. If she's still not happy, then you broke something.

You didn't tell us what your current spark plugs are, so they could be the issue. Old version ZZP wires make knock, and I'll bet your tune isn't as dialed-in as you think it is.

The ZZP wires are the 1st or 2nd gen ones. They are red with the heat shrink numbers on each end. The old plugs are copper Autolite 103's gaped at .045. I didn't remember what was in it till I took them out yesterday. I ended up with copper Autolite 104's gaped at .055. So we will see what happens there. I had already bought them before you posted. Hopefully it fixes the problem. If not I will try what you suggested. I have a friend that does pretty good tuning. He is just doing a street tune at the moment. I am trying to get on the dyno with a wideband and have him tune it some more. I am moving next month to go back to school and a new job. Last thing I need is for something major to go wrong.

Why don't you run some regular old Belden's for spark plug wires? I hear they're good up to some pretty high power levels.

Because these wires are red and that makes it a racekar. I don't know way. I got a good deal on them. I have a set from Autozone I can warranty out and use if need be. But the thing is, I never get a light on for a miss fire code. So I would believe that are working fine. Car shakes a little at idle. But that might have to do with the solid rubber lower mounts and the polyurethane upper mounts. And it revs up smooth as can be. Haven't driven it yet with the new plugs in. I had to replace the alternator, tensoioners and belts. But I got to do some errands today and will se how it does.

ZZP wires are crap.

Especially the 1st or 2nd gen.

Only the newest set are supposed to be good.

Buy PRJ or MSD wires or get some stockers. Or nothing.

Plugs...it's still a top swap...so equivalent to a 3.4"~ setup.

I'd run 104's and gap them at .050". See how it likes it then. I'd also suggest headers in the future or at least a PLOG. That high comp. needs to breathe, even on a stock pulley.
