What size pulley and what size belt??

Ok not the typical pulley question newbies ask all the time LOL

I bought an electric water pump. Intense says use a 4" smaller belt. My issue is while I am installing this pump I am buying a pully also. What size pulley can I go down to safely and how do I know what size belt to get?

Mods Borla exhaust, SLP headers (installing next month) Wizaired CAI, DHP PCM, 42.5lb injectors, PRJ gen III fuel rails, MSD coil packs, 10.4mm wires.

As always thanks in advance!!!!:th_thumbsup-wink:

You mean you're installing a SC pulley? That's a different belt than the one that runs the water pump (the accessory belt).

The only smart way to pulley down is scan, down the pulley, scan, down the pulley, etc.

x2 on scanning. I would. Think the shorter belt is to get it to stock tension. U should be able to run a 3.5 pulley.

I don't see why you couldn't get down to a 3.4. Are you going with the MPS set up? Can order with the 3.4, scan, and if need be, go back to the 3.5.

I went an ordered the 3.5 pulley for the belt tensioner so I can run the 3.4 pulley and use same belt size. With the electric water pump I realized it is a 4" shorter belt
