So my tranny is ready to go but thats ok cause i have another car and i am storing it in my garage for the fall/winter and i plan on taking the tranny out and i want to run the car this summer soo ill need to rebuild the tranny. It has 157k on it. Now the most i plan on going with my car is 2.8 at the verry most with supporting mods and i want a tranny that will hold up to that, soo what parts will i need ?? Hardened 4th clutch shaft, trq conveter etc. ???
 


Well of the bat stock remanned converter will be fine as they tend to stall aronf 2900 anyway.Go with a hardend 4th clutch hub.Will you be running slicks? If so you may want to invest in an intense hardend input shaft. And I would go with a 7/8's chain also along with replacing all the seals gaskets ect in a normal rebuild. And what ever gears you decide to go with if your switching ratio's.


So my mod list and yours may have something in common? FWIW I am very happy with my car now and the way it performs. And something i can finially say is i think im almost done with it. Almost :th_mischievious: :NOS1: ??
