What part is this?

I recently bought this gtp and its missing rocker panels. But whenever I search for the coupe rocker panels, I do not find what I'm looking for. Ive looked for days and just cant seem to find it! I tried "rocker panel mouldings" and "side skirt" too. I just find straight long panels. What is the name for these parts I am missing? I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas? Ill post another pic of what I am TRYING to find too...

idrivejunk, yeah those were the only things I could find. Im starting to think that the wider part near the rear wheel ISN'T part of the side skirt/rocker panel or something

spazzz, you found it!!! That is exactly what I was looking for! Except I wasn't looking to spend $300 per side, being that I got the car for $400 xD
But thank you for your help! I now see that its called a "rocker molding". I've been misspelling it like "moulding" lol

there is a channel that holds that rocker molding on and im assuming your is rusted out by the looks of them pics and there is nkthing left to hokd the channel in place.

gonna need to replace the sheetmetal and get rid of the cancer 1st.

Oh okay... damn... so cut off cancerous body metal, cut new sheet metal to fit, but then how do I attach the new sheet metal and what type of sheet metal should I get?

I suggest that if you'd like to discuss replacement of welded-on panels, that you start another thread for that with some high-res, well-lit, close-up, and focused pics of what you have. Maybe you can save it. I'm a bodyman and will gladly have a peek and advise. These cars don't rust out here so I haven't had to fix any rust on my 99 coupes. The moldings you need are indeed one piece and very thin and fragile in places. Shipping cost on them is more than the part value in most situations, hence the lack of a bunch for sale. Most likely they are usually scrapped with the car, and by the time a dismantler removes wheels and sets the car on some old rims at the junkyard... these moldings are toast.

It would be easy to make a replacement for the rusted retaining strips that are riveted to the quarter and fender. If the molding has never been off the car, the retaining strips usually are holding so much dirt that the flimsy molding can't easily be removed without damage.

Awesome, thank you very much, I greatly appreciate it :) And you're definitely right, shipping cost was horrendous as you could imagine. I'll look for someone parting out a coupe on craigslist and after I find some panels, Ill post a new thread with much better pictures.
