what mod's can i do to make my car faster



youre really not going to get much out of the car unless you go for some forced induction answer. getting out of the 14s is going to be a huge waste of money.

id just save up for whichever dark side you choose.

x2. Putting a cam in a NA 3.8L is like screwing a fat girl. Sure it's fun but would you really like your friends to know you did it? Go Blower or Turbo or keep it stock. You'll really be blowing your money if you decide otherwise.

Might as well do all breathing mods and a pcm just in case you decide you want boostay later.

-CAI (not HAI)
-180* t-stat
-Down pipe w/ u-bend delete
-plog or headers ( if you get headers you won't need the downpipe or u-bend delete)
-intense shift kit (you don't have to but it helped a bit with upshift & downshift)
-A PCM reflash. either do it yourself with HPtuners or overkill or intense pcm.
 
ER rockers, Plog, intake, and HV3 insert make for a pretty mean L36. Not all that expensive total, either. Plus it'll all work later, except the HV3 if you go supercharged (which you could sell).
 
Do a CAI, Downpipe w/ highflow cat, er rockers, HvIII, PCM and you will be happy, should run in high 14's. All this somewhere around a $1000
This makes a good d/d and dependable setup.
 


i just got a 2002 gt with 35 thoundred mile and i want to beef it up, should i and could i put a T4 turbo kit with no upgrade ???????????

basicly.
But you can do a few things now depending on the route you want to go.
If you plan to turbocharge your car you could purchase a SS front power log or ported manifolds. They work well with N/a cars and are ideal for turbo 3800s. Poly motor mounts will help get power to the ground no matter the motor setup. A ZZP HV2 or 3 will work with N/a and turbo builds.
Ubend would be smart but kind of a waste seeing as most of the turbo kits replace the whole DP where the ubend is.

If going SC down the road then you could get headers(which would replace the ubend as well) and a 3.5 or 4" air intake system.

But before you do any of these things make sure you do basic maintenance.
Plugs,wires,t-stat, fuel filter
