What is this connector for?

I was changing out my battery and found a connector that apparently has never been in use before (cob webs inside) whats it for?

Oh and whats the best way to change out the motor mount that sits right below the crank pulley.

That connector iirc goes to the auto climate control. I could be wrong on that though.
Motor mount, jack up car, brace engine from up top 4x4 and chain work good, remove bolts that go to the motor mount into the subframe, lower subframe, remove motor mount. I think there is a writeup somewhere on here, do a search for easy bill i think he did one.

I wouldnt worry about it if it as cobwebs in it.

Likely just something that your car doesnt have, be a air pump connector or something cali emissions related or whatever.

Motor mount is easy. Unbolt the upper motor mount aka dog bones and then jack up the passenger side and support with jack stand. Remove all 4 nuts from the motor mount and then use your jack with a BIG 2x4 or 2x6 piece of wood between the oil pan and jack. You must use a piece of wood so you don't dent the pan, then jack up the motor and remove the mount.

Well it did not work out very well I did everything you said fivefinger it seemed to be going well until I started jacking up the motor. The problem was I couldn't jack the motor high enough to get enough clearance to pull the mount out. I was barely able to lift it high enough to clear the studs that stick up out of the mount before I noticed the oil pan started to give in and then I stopped (I had a block of wood about 4x4x4 inches between the jack and the pan maybe it should of been wider to distribute the stress better). I still had to lift the motor about 4-5 inches more in order to have enough clearance to pull the mount out it just doesn't seem like the motor can be jacked up that high maybe I should've jacked it up by the trans oil pan instead for more leverage and used a wider piece of wood? Im slightly upset about the oil pan deforming a little but the damage seems to be cosmetic only (I hope)

did you un bolt the dog bones before jacking the engine up? if not do that and try again. i used a 2x6 cause its wider, span both pans, lift the engine up.

Yes I did unbolt the dogbones. What about jacking the motor up a little and removing the u shaped bracket that the motor mount is attached to?

all i do is span the board across the two pans, un bolt the dog bones, remove the 4 bolts to what ever mount your changing, and jack the engine up. you'll want to jack the side your working on of course, dont try to lift the whole engine up.

once its high enough to get the mount out dont be surprised if you need to go higher to get the new mount in.

I know Scotty likes his wood to be longer.....tee-hee, I said wood..... but here is how I did mine.....
