What fuel tester should i buy. (gas/injectors)

I think my (06 3.8) fuel system is having a leak down issue.

I did not see any thread here that address this, but I would like to pick the fourm brain on testers. There are a few of them I am looking at, I more interested in finding one that will work with my 97, 06, and 07 GXP. Also best bang for the buck.

Any of the nicer ones from an auto parts store will do.

The test port on all GM's is pretty much the same, so whatever one you get will work with all 3 cars. Most run around 50-70 bucks.

Yeah that's what I used on my 05'. It held for about 4 hours before even dropping a little. even the next morning I had about 10 psi.

Also if you wanted you could rent a Fuel Pressure Gauge from Autozone for free. I know the one near me has them for rent.

The 2nd one (yellow case), in the lid, bottom adapter, looks like it has a cutoff valve. Is that for isolating fuel pump/regulator to test for leak down? Although one valve would work on the 04+, what about car that have the regulator on the fuel rail and a return line?
There is a delta of about $34.

The only car I have not been able to use my gauge from the parts store is my wife's 01' Nissan Maxima. It would have to have been put in line as there isn't a provision for checking fuel pressure. Any Ford GM and a few other cars have used the 2 different fittings. But get what you like.
