So i decided to go with the vs, im looking at the l76 springs with the manley retainers from intense. Do i need the viton valve seals as well? What about the cam install kit from zzp? I also have no idea in regards to the timing chain and issues surrounding that
I have a decent idea on install and everything, so im good there, i just need to know exactly what i need before i tear into everything

Here's the list from my cam install....it'll give you a starting point at least..

VS cam...

I wouldn't run any cam without a decent spring, regardless of what vendors say.

I'd get crow 105's...and of course the cam install kit.

New timing chain + new stock dampner.

With the questions you're asking however, I would search and read...I wouldn't be tearing into the car without understanding what you're doing.

Rockers, pushrods not necessary...might wanna replace valve cover gaskets though. Biggest thing is know the numbers (lift, clearances, etc.) and double check all of them before you start.

This list seems extensive. What is the purpose of the roller rockers? I'm pretty sure that the VS doesn't require rollers because it isn't a very aggressive cam. I don't think i need to replace the lifters either, but i suppose i probably won't know until i tear it apart.
nvm, was looking everything up before i read your most recent reply

Only things you really need are...

Gaskets, fluids, whatever filters...

Cam install kit, whatever springs you want to run with the correct retainer, and the cam.

Then, pulley & tune.

How's that?

Stop crapping from a vendor.

They don't have all the correct answers.

LS6 springs will eat up a stock tensioner pretty quick...think 40k~ or so.
