so im pulling out my engine not sure how bad i messed it up ...i believe its the rod bearings but not sure yet ....should i rebulit or try and find a short block...engine right now has 133k on it

If you think you blew a rod you should check in the oil pan for metal flake. If there is a decent amount of flake in the oil you should get a new engine. It would be far simpler to put in a new engine than trying to rebuild the one your pulling out of your car now.

get a low mileage shortblock these things are pricey to rebuild

there was indeed metal flakes in the oil pan...thanks guys
